It's the first time in the history for a PBA player sets a remarkable record-breaking PBA Most Valuable Player award. June Mar Fajardo once again received his fifth straight PBA MVP award on Sunday at the Philippine Arena during the Leo Awards.
The San Miguel man surpassed Purefoods star Alvin Patrimonio and Mon Fernandez with the most number of MVP trophies.
Fajardo also led the Mythical Team that includes Paul Lee, Pringle, Japeth Aguilar, and Marcio Lassiter.
Fajardo received a total of 2,436 points, beating Stanley Pringle who had 2,041 points.
Mark Barroca,Scottie Thompson, Arwind Santos, Poy Erram and Matthew Wright were named to the second Mythical Team.
For the Most Improved Players was given to Thompson, Gabe Norwood for the Sportsmanship Award and Jason Perkins was announced Rookie of the Year.
