A Facebook user named Karen Corro Habal shared a story of her PWD cousin who saved Php 38K, however, its old and demonetized. According to her post, her cousin's mother discovered the money he had saved.
Upon discovering, they went to Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas to try if the said old bills will be change to the new Philippine money. Sadly, they failed and the bank did not accept despite of their appeal since her cousin is a person with disability (PWD).
Then Habal took to social media and asked for help to anyone who could buy the old paper bills.
According to her, these would be a great helped for her cousin's medications. Lucky enough her call was answered by social media users who bought some of the old bills.
