Passengers caught sleeping on the aisle of the public transport went viral

A photos of passengers lying on the floor of a passenger bus bound for Bantayan Island of Northern Cebu went viral despite of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB)7 warning over the strict regulations to 'No Standing Policy'.

This year the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB)7 will implement a more stricter 'No Standing Policy' for public transport. If the public utility buses (PUBs) caught allowing passengers to stand inside their vehicles, the operator would pay a penalty of  P5,000 on the first offense and it will increase on the second or third offense.

Violators that are caught will be issued a temporary operator's permit by the LTO and an inspection report summons by the LTFRB, Sunstar reported.
