According to the documents reveal, Chris Watts worked hard to keep his affair a secret from his wife, Shan'ann Watts. He kept a hidden folder on his phone where he stored images of his mistress Nichol Kessinger.

In her defense, Kessinger called Watts a liar, saying that he told he's getting a divorce with wife Shan'ann.

"He made me believe that he was doing all of the things that a rational man and good father would do," she told the Denver Post.

Authority of Weld County district attorney revealed that the bodies of Shan'ann, Bella and Celeste were loaded to Chris truck and hid them at a remote oil work site: his wife buried in the ground and daughter submerged in two nearby oil tanks.

According to the report Chris had a desire for a fresh start, to begin with a new relationship with co-worker - his motive of murdering his family.
