Netizens reacts over MMDA plans of suing the uploader of viral QC footbridge video

A concerned citizen named Pio Gerona Fortuno Jr. posted a video of the Quezon City footbridge tangled with electrical cables crossing the walkway goes viral.



"I don't know which is more dangerous - crossing the busy Mindanao Ave/Congressional Ave intersection below or the newly built elevated pedestrian walk that has utility wires on the path that force you to dance tinikling," Fortuno wrote in his Facebook post.

It could be seen on the video a utility wires across the walkway that can cause danger to passers.

The viral video has captured the attention of the Metro Manila Development Authority - who told CNN news that the video is malicious and they are planning to sue the uploader of the video.


Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) General Manager Jose Arturo "Jojo" Garcia Jr. said CNN Philippines that the footbridge was closed and not ready to use, citing that the uploader has allegedly forced his way past a guard stationed at the footbridge. 

However, in the same report, Fortuno denies Garcia's statement saying the footbridge was opened and there's no signage's when he took the video. 


The video also shows two individuals passing the walk way and it could be heard  there remarks over the dangerous wires.
