Recently, the appearance of Ashley Abad's boyfriend to the police had cleared Nel Spencer Tiu's name over the allegations that he is the source of the ecstasy over the death of his girlfriend.

On Wednesday, February 20, during the speech at Palace's Rizal Hall, President Rodrigo Duterte revealed that it was the 19-year-old Abad who possessed the party drug that led to her death in January.
According to forensic examination recovered, Ashley was the one texting another girl, telling her that she has to reserve one for her boyfriend.
Following to the story of the case, investigators have identified the person who would be the possible source of party drug. The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) are preparing foo the complaint against the source but declined to reveal the name.
Abad's boyfriend lawyer said that Tiu went outside of the party venue to buy bottled water and he did not know his girlfriend took a party drug.
Police Regional Office-Central Visayas Director Debold Sinas said the police have strong evidence against the culprit, who is among the seven persons invited by the police for the investigation, Sunstar reported.
