Woman wakes up alone on dark empty passenger parked plane

A woman who recently boarded Air Canada claims nobody wake her up after she fall asleep and reached her destination. She forced to find her own way off the plane after waking up alone in a dark, parked plane, seemingly forgotten by the flight staff.

Tiffani Adams' story was posted by a friend on Air Canada's Facebook page, drawing sceptical reactions from readers.

According to a post, Tiffani Adams was on a flight from Quebec City to Toronto on Jun 9 when she fell asleep halfway the entire trip. After a 90-minute flight, she said she woke up in a total darkness around midnight, freezing cold in her seat. Adams added to her post that her phone died right after she manage to inform her friend Deanne Noel-Dale.

"I wake up around midnight, few hours after (the) flight landed, freezing cold still strapped in my seat in complete darkness," said Ms Adams in a post recounted by friend Deanna Noel-Dale on the airline's Facebook page.

She tried to charge it, but there was no power on the plane. She found a flashlight in the cocpit and tried signaling out the plane's windows to grab someone's attention.

She eventually spotted by a luggage cart operator after managing to open up a plane door.

"He is in shock, asking how the heck they left me on the plane...I'm wondering the same," Adams recalled.

Air Canada offered her a limousine and a hotel but she declined, saying all she wanted to do was to go home.

Air Canada apologised for the incident and said that they are reviewing the matter.
