Mexico Wins 2019 CONCACAF GOLD CUP, 1-0 AGAINST U.S.

USMNT had missed the chance to win Concacaf Gold Cup trophy after defeated against Mexico on Sunday's match. The Americans took the chance at the early stage of the game,  nearly scoring from a 50th minute corner.

Jordan Morris beat Ochoa with a header, but Andres Guardado headed the ball off the line. A follow-up effort by Weston McKennie was blocked and the USMNT players protested for a handball, but nothing was given.

But Mexico had to set-up the more dangerous team in the second half - as it happened, Jonathan dos Santos scored off a back-heel pass from Raul Jimenez. 
  
He was able to make a goal in 73rd minutes, the ball barely hit the crossbar and bounced into the net, beating the United States in 1-0.

Despite three of their top forwards were missing, still Mexican's manage the game. The American team was playing under new coach - Gregg Berhalter.

CONCACAF, the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football Gold Cup is one of the continental bodies under FIFA established as governing bodies for football associations.

However, U.S. women's soccer national team has won in France and will now continue its fight for equal pay. The United States women's team beat the Netherlands in the 2019 Women's World Cup on Sunday 2-0.
