Lea Salonga was mistakenly introduced by UK based Sky News presenter in Live Interview

UK based SKY NEWS' host Stephen Dixon made an embarrassing interview live on-air with Broadway star Lea Salonga, as he mistakenly introduced his next guest in an mortifying case of mixed up.

Salonga is in UK to promote her concert tour at Sky News morning show "Sunrise" in its July 5 episode.

However, it appeared to be the presenter Stephen Dixon failed to correctly introduce Salonga during an awkward exchange. Dixon introduced the singer as an environmental advocate to which the singer had to correct him on his error.

“Now would you be prepared to give up flying for a whole year to help the planet.

“Well, the flight free campaign wants us to do just that.

“It wants 100,000 people to promise to give up flying for 2020.

“One of those asking us to do that, is doing it herself, is environmental campaigner Anna Hughes,” Mr. Dixon said.

Looking visibly confused, Salonga smiled and immediately interrupted to correct the Sky News host.

"Okay I am not Anna Hughes, I'm sorry. I don't know what is going on. No, I'm not Anna Hughes, sorry about that."

Dixon and his co-anchor, Gillian Joseph  had to find out few seconds who he was speaking to. He then confirmed that Lea Salonga is the person he was talking with. Co-host Gillian Joseph could be seen lowering her head and hand at Mr. Dixon's unintentional start.
