So far as we know, this barong inspired uniform for the delegation from the Philippines is on the spot light. Renowned fashion designer Francis Libiran is the man behind this barong design to be wore by the athletes in the opening rites on November 30 at the Philippine Arena.
The design is so simple but stylish, highlighted with a big sun raise embroidered at the left shoulder of the barong.

"I'm so honored to design the official parade uniform of Team Philippines for the 30th Southeast Asian Games. Reinventing the design of our Barong Tagalog made it more nationalistic and festive by incorporating the vibrant colors and meaningful symbols of the Philippines national flag. I made use of Philippine fibers and materials, accented with custom art deco embriodery," Francis Libiran said in his Facebook post.
