Samar, Philippines - A motor boat bound to Tagapul-an town in the Province of Samar was reportedly sank off Calbayog waters before noontime, Monday, August 12.

According to Police report, around 11:40am, Calbayog City Police station received a call from concerned citizens that a passenger boat is sinking within the vicinity of Brgy. Matobato, Calbayog City.
Rescue groups together with Philippine coast guard, CDRRMC PNP Maritime Groups has conducted rescue mission, and reportedly all 49 passengers were rescued aboard the MB MIAR ROMCES bound to Tagapul-an.
No casualties has been reported.
