Manila, Philippines - President Rodrigo Duterte declared August 12 as a regular holiday nationwide in observance of Eid'l Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice.
A Proclamation No. 789 was signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea on Thursday, August 8, 2019.
Eid Al Adha is an Islamic festival also known as the Feast of Sacrifice. This event is celebrated by our Muslim brothers and sisters to honor the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to follow Allah’s (God’s) command to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience.
