Kim Mangrobang First Philippine Gold in 30th SEA Games

A 28 year old, Kim Mangrobang won the first gold for the team Philippines in Women's Triathlon in the 30th SEA Games.

Mangrobang clocked in at 1:02:28 to finish behind Brazil triathletes who won first and  second for home turf.

Mangrobang's Portuguese Coach Sergio Santos noted her efforts and dedication in playing against Brazil's finest triathletes.

"Kim did a good effort but she was swimming against the Brazilian open water champions", coach Santos said according to Triathlon Association of the Philippines.

Kim won her SEA Games Elite Women's Triathlon gold in 2017 at Kuala Lumpur. She even had her training in Portugal.

In her interview, " I don't feel nervous about it… I've been training for 10 months a year and I feel confident enough" said Mangrobang

She even posted on her Facebook page on November 13, "The job is never easy. It's literally sweat and tears but there is no room for surrender. We just have to rise up and go… beast mode!
