Tour of the FireFlies 2019 in Iloilo City

Hundreds of cyclists are expected to participate the 20th Tour of the Fireflies on November 23, 2019. The Firefly Brigade-Philippines is an organization dedicated to promoting clean air and sustainable communities.

This year, on the 20th anniversary of the Tour of the Fireflies, Iloilo will be joining the nationwide Bike ZEVolution – driving zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) to demonstrate and encourage much-needed climate action.

Fireflies turn out to be indicators of good and clean air, that is why the Tour of the Fireflies is set on the month of November – in line with the celebration of the National Environmental Awareness and Clean Air Month.

The 1st Iloilo Tour of the Fireflies, spearheaded by the TOF Iloilo Organizing Committee composed of urban cycling advocates, will be staged at Park Square, Iloilo Business Park on November 23, 2019 and will commence with an Opening Program at 6:00 PM. This advocacy ride is supported by Iloilo Business Park, Festive Walk Iloilo and the Office of Councilor Jay Treñas.

Cyclists from all ages and riding different kinds of bicycles will parade in colorful costumes and light up the streets of the City of Love.

To make the event more exciting, special prizes are also up for grabs for those with the Best Lights, Best Costumes, and last but not the least, the Largest Group.

Registration is FREE for riders who want to join and enjoy the ride! A minimal fee of P50.00 will be asked for those who wish to join the raffle and have post-ride snacks.
