The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Tuesday, December 17, announced that the 24/7 construction of common station in North Avenue is shaping up with at least 96% progress for the Area B section of the project.
The long-delayed common station has at least taking shape and commuters have now something new to look forward. The Common Station is projected to serve 478,000 passengers daily, connecting LRT-1, MRT-3, and the future MRT-7 and Metro Manila Subway.
Dubbed as the Unified Grand Central Station, the 13,700 sq.m common station has 3 areas: Area A is under the DOTr, Area B under Ayala land Inc., and Area C is under MRT-7 Project which was awarded to San Miguel Corp.

The DOTr recently posted pictures on their Facebook page of the Common Station's for Area B. The common station look stunning with its impressive high ceilings and a huge space that will accommodate thousand of passengers once operational by 2021.
Platforms for LRT 1 and MRT 3 will be located at area A, which is expected to be operational by next year, according to the DOTr.
