Around 500 Chinese tourists who arrived in Kalibo Aklan to be sent back to Wuhan

Around 500 Chinese tourists from Wuhan city in China where the virus (2019-nCoV) outbreak began, will be sent back to their point of origin, CNN Philippines reported.

Royal Air Charter and Pan Pacific Airline will be transporting back all the tourists to Wuhan, despite the city is coping under the lockdown and the danger of coronavirus, Civil Aviation Board Executive Director Carmelo Arcilla said.

Authorities in Aklan said that 135 foreigners have enter on Thursday, hours before the Philippine officials announced the suspension of direct flight to and from Wuhan. None of them was quarantined since they are all good and no red flag symptoms of the virus such as fever detected.

In China, people were advised not to leave the city, in a week when millions of Chinese are travelling for the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday.

The respiratory illness has spread to other parts of China, with some cases in other countries including the US.

Currently, death toll rises to 26 in China, with 830 infected.

Meanwhile, the public are advice to use surgical masks and not the N95 masks to guard against Wuhan coronavirus spread.
