Former Congressman of Batangas 2nd District Rep.Edgar Mendoza and an unidentified individual were found dead in a burning car.
People in the area saw the car was on fire in Barangay San Francisco before dawn.
The 60-year-old Mendoza and the one other victim both sustained gunshot wounds, according to the authority. The former Congressman left his home for a meeting in Calamba, Laguna with his driver and an aide, according to ABS-CBN report.
Police investigation is on going for the identification of persons involve in the brutal killing.
