This is part of the annual environmental recovery and rehabilitation effort of the local government to preserve its tourist spots. Starting January 7, local and international tourists will no longer allowed to visit the site.

Sugba Lagoon is known for its calm blue-green waters surrounded by limestone cliffs. It's ideal for kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and snorkeling, but thrill-seekers also have the option of jumping off a three-meter-high diving board.

Tourists often make it a stopover for lunch, feasting on the freshest seafood cooked by locals and served inside the two-storey pavilion on stilts above the lagoon.
