The Department of Health confirms a second case of 2019-nCoV ARD in the country, a 44-year old male Chinese national.
The Chinese national, however, already died yesterday, February 1, due to severe pneumonia, according to the DOH.
In addition, the DOH also announced that 24 persons under investigation tested negative for 2019-nCoV ARD.
In a press conference, the 44-year-old Chinese male companion of the 38-year-old Chinese woman who was first tested positive for the virus, were both came from Wuhan, China and they confined at the San Lazaro Hospital in Manila.
The death of the Chinese male is the first reported death of person testing positive for the novel coronavirus outside China.
