An 18-year-old Francisco Martin is already making shockwaves as American Idol returns to prime time Sunday. In his introductory video, the pre-law student at the College of San Mateo and San Francisco resident, admitted that he had always a struggle with self-confidence.
Martin came in feeling nervous, so Lionel and Luke did their best to calm Martin.
“I know you’re nervous but you have to figure it out because it’s about to come,” Katy Perry said.
It seems that a hug and a joke helped him to cool down and Martin delivered a smooth rendition of Maggae Rogers' Alaska and he added a sampling of his original song.
Katy Pery lauded Francisco's incredible voice and consider him a Top 10 material, while Luke said he believes he's on the Top 5.
