Online Church Services Are Now The Newest Trend In Singapore Amid COVID-19 Outbreak

Churches in Singapore are now taking a moved to protect faithfuls as COVID-19 continue to spread. Several churches have announced to stop holding its conventional services as a precautionary measures.



City Harvest Church, a pentecostal religious group with over 16,000 followers, recently announced that its services will be done via online.

"This is a temporary measure. I look forward to the day when the situation stabilises and we can all come back together for service again."



Meanwhile, catholic churches in Singapore such as grace Assembly of God Church and Life Church and Missions  Singapore have also suspended services for an indefinite period of time after 13 cases have been linked to them, the Straits Times report.  

"As Catholics, we need to be responsible in playing our part to contain the spread of this virus by avoiding large gatherings of people."



At least 110 people in the city state had tested positive for the disease as of March 4, 2020, and 78 of those patients had recovered.
