Recently on his Facebook live, Cayetano suggested that national and local governments distribute cash and non-cash assistance to households affected by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic "house to house."
Cayetano was very vocal to his Facebook live that every household will receive the Social Amelioration Card (SAC) form. He also answer questions from his viewers who are entitled for Social Amelioration Card from DSWD.
A Facebook user Abdul Aziz Natanuan, a Brgy. Chairman from Batangas took to social media and claimed Cayetano's statement had mislead the people.
Natanuan in his case submitted 2500 families to the DSWD, however he just only received 821 forms from DSWD, saying he was instructed to select the poorest of the poor.
The Brgy. Chairman asked Cayetano to make another live video to address his claim, because they are the one who was receiving complain from their constituents.
“Hindi ka naman yata nakakatulong sa mamamayan natin ay huwag kana magpadagdag ng problema at huwag kana magpagulo.”
Under the Bayanihan to Heal As One Act, around 18 million low-income households belonging to the informal sector will be targeted to receive monthly emergency subsidies amounting to P5,000 to P8,000 for two months.
