Apple announced its second-generation iPhone SE, a small and cheaper but has the same processing power as iPhone 11. It comes in a starting price at $399.
The new iPhone SE was originally expected to be called the iPhone 9, but the company has decided to return to the SE which was first released in 2016.
The iPhone SE 2020 release date is set for Friday April 24, with pre-orders opening at the end of this week (Friday, April 17).
The base model comes with 64GB of storage, with 128GB and 256GB models also available for a higher price.
It comes with a 4.7-inch display, just like the iPhone 8, and runs on the company's A13 Bionic processor, the same chip that powers the iPhone 11 and the 11 Pro. And like the iPhone 8 it resembles, the iPhone SE has a home button with Touch ID built in.
iPhone SE also features the best single-camera system ever in an iPhone, which unlocks the benefits of computational photography including Portrait mode, and is designed to withstand the elements with dust and water resistance.
iPhone SE comes in three colors — black, white and (PRODUCT)RED.
