Lots of modern heroes inspiring stories have emerged online amid the coronavirus pandemic, and one of them is Zane Powles, a primary teacher in Western Primary School in Grimsby, in the UK. Zane was hailed a hero for his 78 children where he used to walk 5 miles (8kms) every single day to deliver free meal for them.
"When we heard about the lockdown on the Wednesday, we were really concerned about, you know, would our children be safe? What would happen with the free school meals? Wouldn't be able to see them every day," Zane told the BBC.

Since the lockdown was implemented, students were no longer getting their free meals. So Zane decided to bring them the food by foot rather than using his bike or car as he enjoys the interaction with people on his way. Teacher Zane is a former soldier, so he's used of walking miles away carrying with heavy loads.
The food he is carrying everyday weighs around 40 pounds, but that doesn't stop him. He also uses these deliveries as a chance to check up on his students and see there situations.
"People are risking their lives on the front line or delivering medicines as a volunteer, and I'm doing this because it's the right thing to do to help where I can."
