4-year-old girl almost get blind due to excessive use of mobile phone

Nowadays, technology is on high demand, however, parents are warned to limit the used  of gadgets to their children. 


Recently, a 4-year-old girl in Thailand suffered a severe damage on her eye that need to undergo surgery. According to the father, since two years old her daughter have become fond of using smartphone. They neglected the side effect as parents because both of them are busy on their work.


The father took to Facebook and shared their experience so other parents may warned of the bad effect of excessive used of gadgets to children - especially for toddlers.


"I used to give my daughter my mobile to play with while I worked"

Health problem have started on the fourth year of their daughter with eye issues that need her to wear glasses at a very young age. At first he never realized that it was caused by excessive used of device.

The child had to undergo surgery because her vision had worsened where she developed a lazy eye.

A lazy eye or amblyopia is a condition wherein there is a decreased in vision not correctable by eyeglasses and is not due to eye disease. Dachan now realized that the excessive use of smartphones by kids can seriously caused health problem on them.


Her daughter's condition eventually improved as doctors advised them to stop her daughter from exposure on mobile phones and even watching TV.

Experts recommend that screen time for children ages 2 and 5 must be one hour per day.
