65-year-old grandma marries 24yo man she adopted as her son last year

In Indonesia, the age differences between spouses at marriage has remained relatively stable for several decades. Recently, another story of married couple with considerably large age gap has become the talk of the town.

The story which was translated by the World Of Buzz news has caught the social media attentions, where a 65 year-old woman got married to a 24-year-old man. While we understand that love is magical, still people definitely tried to understand not only the age gap but how their relationship blossoms since her groom is actually her adopted son.

“I didn’t have any intentions to marry him initially. I only told him that he should get married soon, as my three adopted daughters are already married.

To my surprise, he said he wanted to wed me.” she said.

According to the local news Kompas, the 65-year-old woman adopted the 24-year-old man as her son last year. The young man even paid her a 100,000 rupiah dowry (RM 30.21), which she accepted according to Harian Metro.
