A 48-year old male succumed to COVID-19 dies after jumping off the hospital window at Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC).
Police investigators immediately responded to the area, but were barred by the management of the hospital from entering the vicinity since the victim was a COVID-19 patients.
the patients was immediately cremated. Authorities was still investigating the circumstances behind the patients death.
There were no details available yet on the patient.
The incident happened about 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, said Police Major Elisandro Quijano, chief of the Abellana Police Station.
Witness, saw the victim destroying the glass window of the room where he was isolated together with other COVID-19 patients, cebudailyinquirer reported.
