Cebu gold medalist Margielyn Didal hangs up her skateboard and start her food business amidst lockdown

SEA Games gold medalist Margielyn Didal hangs up for awhile her skateboard and focus on her food business she started during the lockdown. 


In a photos shared by The Freeman, it can be seen Didal personally delivers the products to customers.

Didal, an Olympic Hopeful has been named on Forbes '30 under 30' Asia 2020 list for sports and entertainment that recognizes 300 leaders and change makers from Asia who are under the age of 30.

She was also named on Time magazine's list of 25 Most Influential Teens of 2018.

Margielyn Didal has been full steam ahead since her breakthrough success, winning gold on debut at the 2018 Asian Games.

Following that title, she began to make her mark as one of the top skateboarders in the world.

The 21-year-old is on track to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, now postponed to 2021. 

She is currently in the 14th ranked in street skater in the world.


During the coronavirus lockdown, Didal has moved into fashion and food business.

Earlier this month, she announced a partnership to create her own customised pair of shoes, inspired by the colors of the Philippine flag.

Coronavirus task force in Manila or IATF-MEID, with the president's approval, decided to return Cebu City to enhanced quarantine (ECQ) or total lockdown for the rest of this month, from June 16-30.
