Some people in Brgy. Basak San Nicolas, Cebu City are seemingly ignoring social distancing guidelines amid the coronavirus pandemic. Despite warnings from public health experts, photos show a religious event was packed with people.
Brgy. Basak was among the areas under lockdown after being identified as one of the coronavirus hotspot in the city. Approximately 10 dancers reportedly spotted leading the dance outside the chapel where the religious image was being procession.

According to a report, brgy. captain Norman Navarro didn't know about the event, since the organizer asked him for the image to be brought around the barangay.
The city government have also asked the barangay's official to explain the incident within 24 hours.
