A surreal footage taken in undated birthday party showing a scantily clad woman dancing in front of the birthday boy and other office staff is making the rounds online.
Senate Blue Ribbon Committee Senator Richard Gordon showed to media the findings of the 2019 investigation as well as the sexy dancing happened in PhilHealth Regional office.
"On his birthday, Perez received the gift. An enormous box in his office. A girl dressed scantily except for underwear danced and gyrated provocatively in front of Perez in the office premises," Gordon said as quoted from GMA report.
"Perez enjoyed the performance and was seen smiling in the video. He did not prevent the incident, or report and issue any reprimand to the employees who brought the girl," he added.
During a Senate hearing, Paolo Johann Perez said, it was a surprise party and unaware that his staff has prepared a performer, claimed that the dancer wasn't nude.
"Birthday ko po noon. Mayroon pong hinandang program ang mga staff ko. Hindi ko po alam na may isang division 'di sila nakapagprepare dahil busys sila so kumuha sila ng talent na kakanta. Hindi rin po totoo na nakahubad ang talent," Perez said.
