The city of Sorsogon's newly built coastal road is now open to public, Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways Mark Villar announced on Facebook post.
The coastal road has four-lanes and has a total length of 5.52 kms., including three bridges and causeways connecting several barangays of Sirangan, Sampaloc, Balogo and will eventually traverse to barangays Pangpang, Tugos, Cambulaga, and Talisay.
The project aim to decongest the heavy traffic in Sorsogon city and this will provide protection to the surrounding areas from the storm surge.
