The Philippines has ordered its ambassador to Brazil who was caught on video maltreating her household worker to return home and face investigation.
The video footage that surfaced from Brazil's News Agency 'Globo News' shows the alleged Ambassador physically mistreating and berating her Filipino house staff.
In a tweet by Foreign Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. said that he ordered Ambassador Marichu Mauro to immediately back home to explain the viral maltreatment footage to her service staff.

The victim is said to be a 51-year-old Filipina, according to reports. The incidents were captured by a security camera inside the house and it was documented by the unknown employees.

The DFA said the household worker has left Brasilia, Brazil on October 21 and is now back in the Philippines.
