Carlos Yulo is indeed the world's No. 1 in men's floor exercise, according to the 2020 world rankings of the International Gymnastic Federation (FIG).
Yulo, who won two bronze medal in the fresh All-Japan Gymnastics Championships on Dec. 13, took him at the top spot with 70 points.
The 20-year-old Yulo shares the recognition with Rayderley Zapta of Spain, while Kirill Prokopev of Russia clinched the third rank.
The 4-foot-11 Filipino gymnast has emerged as the country's second Olympic qualifier after pole vaulter EJ Obiena, who sealed his own ticket to Tokyo last September in ruling a meet in Italy.
