Rising star Charlie Dizon, 24, is really just like us, who secretly starstruck over their favorite celebrities. The Best Actress awardee revealed on her Instagram post that she's a big fan of Avelino saying, "Dati-rati, nagpapa-picture lang ako sa’yo everytime may chance na makita ka in person."
But unlike us, the Fan Girl star is living every fangirl's dream because she's gotten to work with her idol.
"Hanggang ngayon di pa rin ako makapaniwala ikaw ang naging first leading man ko sa first lead film ko," she said.
Charlie Dizon has set Filipino viewers abuzz, following her breakthrough performance as Jane, a 16-year-old girl living her most treasured fantasy—meeting her idol—only for reality to come knocking at the door.
"Fan Girl" recently bagged eight major awards at the "Gabi ng Parangal" of the 46th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). Lead stars Paulo Avelino and Charlie Dizon have won individual trophies for their excellent performances such as Best Actor and Best Actress, respectively.
