Filipino seafarers saves American sailor drifting with capsized boat at the Atlantic Ocean

 Stuart Bee, 62, who was missing at sea for nearly two days after his boat capsized on the Atlantic Ocean is thankful to be alive. He was found clinging to his boat 86 miles from the shore of Port Canaveral, Florida on Friday.




The 225-foot-container ship named Angeles with Filipinos on board spotted Stuart clutching onto the hull of his 32-foot boat before he managed to swim and climbed aboard the ship.





"Right when duty officer first saw him drifting, and sounded the rescue alarm, we knew a miracle is about happen. After each careful maneuvers Captain has to make on Sunday morning, we rescued Stuart some 80 miles off the eastern shore," said Lacruiser P. Relativo on his Facebook post.

"True enough, tears are unrecognizable when you are soaked in the water. As Stuart climbed in the ship’s ladder, I wouldn’t know how all of us felt at that moment. Before I could tell about our experience, I knew, Stuart will live. Forever," he added.

The Filipino crew went emotional while narrating the miracle story he called "One cup at a time, inspired by Stuart Bee's survival story."

Relativo, offered Stuart his "lucky shirt." 



"I could give him a new one but this one is my favorite. I wish him the same comfort this shirt has given me during those tiring job interviews. Just like him, I was lucky to get the job. He was lucky too that our course crossed in the Atlantic," he said.
