The Department of Works and Highways (DPWH) lauded an employee who works at DPWH Regional Office in Caraga for returning a lost bag containing Php 360,000 cash to the 'rightful owners of the San Isidro Upland Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative.

The good news has reached to DPWH Secretary Mark Villar and his quick to instruct to give Bernardo Dela Cruz a plaque of recognition for his incredible act of honesty.
"It was truly an honor to present Bernardo Dela Cruz with this plaque. His honesty and action are beyond expectation especially in this time of pandemic, and worthy of commendation," said RD Pol Delos Santos of the DPWH Caraga.

Aside from the Plaque of Recognition, RD Delos Santos also announced that once a vacant position that commensurate to his qualifications is available, Mr. Dela Cruz will be prioritized for a permanent position in the DPWH Regional Office.
Last week’s good deed left many so deeply moved by Dela Cruz's act of kindness that the media and netizens who praised Dela Cruz also expect the DPWH management for some reward.
