Over a thousands of individuals were evacuated in the cities of Silay, Talisay, Victorias, and the town of E.B. Magalona after a massive flooding occurred on Friday, January 1, due to heavy down pour on Thursday night.
Rescue operations were conducted to transfer residents to safer grounds as the water reached their houses.
Flood waters hit Silay City's public market and establishments located along the national highway. Meanwhile, the neighboring town Talisay has reported 12 houses destroyed and 20 were damaged by the flood.
