The completion of the two main pylons of the 8.5-kilometer Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) bridge marked another milestone. The 145-meter high twin tower pylons which support other sub-structures of the bridge have been completed, the company announced.
The iconic bridge is expected to be completed this year and will be one of Cebu's most recognizable landmark. The bridge aim to connect the main Cebu City industrial area to Mactan Island via the municipality of Cordova.
With the main span of 51 meters navigation clearance which allow ships to traverse back and forth. The design of the pylons was inspired by the historic Magellan's cross with 40-meter visible on four sides of Tower 1, a significant symbol for Cebu.
