A street vendor in Binangonan, Rizal was hailed a hero after dousing a burning tricycle with a container of coconut 'buko' juice he was selling. Without hesitation, 54-year-old Larry Lasac was quick to respond to a fire incident in his attempt to help the driver in Brgy. Pantok.
The heroic act was caught on video of unidentified bystander who uploaded on Facebook. Lasac was commended by Mayor Cesar Ynares of Binangonan for the act of heroism and was given a certificate of recognition.
Lasac used to earn P800 - P1000 a day selling french fries in school, but due to the lockdown he managed to change his goods to cope.
