A basketball vlogger is in a hot water after organizing a basketball game in Guiguinto, Bulacan, amid strict health protocol implementation.
Mav's Phenomenal Basketball which has almost 1.7 million subscribers on YouTube allegedly violated town's quarantine rules.
On their video which has been posted on Feb. 12 entitled "We went to Guiguinto: Who is the new player?" surprised Guiguinto Mayor Ambrosio Cruz Jr., according to a report from GMA7's "State of the Netion".
The video was part of the group's basketball journey by hosting basketball game out of town with other team.
"Paano nangyari ito, kasi very strict ang aming order na walang contact sports, most specifically basketball," the mayor said during an interview. "Maliwanag 'yun, we will never allow basketball in Guiguinto."
After the incident, the mayor has ordered violators to be fined P1,000 for violation of health protocols.
"Ginagawa nilang katatawa-tawa to eh, pati kami na nananahimik dito sa aming bayan tinatamaan. At the end of the day ang na-e-endanger dito ang kalusugan ng kababayan ko," he added.
