After she accepted the award for the song of the year 'I Can't Breathe' at the 63rd Grammy Awards on Sunday night, H.E.R., who's real name is Gariella Sarmiento Wilson gave a hilarious shout out to her Filipino fans.
On her Twitter account, she reposted a TikTok video where she impersonated her Filipina Tita would tell her after her Grammy win.
“My Tita Joan would say, ‘Oh my God, I am so proud of you. You have Grammy’s wow. Diamond, is that diamond? Even if you do not win you are still a winner. You are a winner! I like that song, that song you sing ‘I can’t breathe,'" H.E.R. said in a Filipino accent.

Wilson, a half-Filipina, explained that she wrote the song over FaceTime when she was experiencing feelings of fear, and thanked God for giving her the gift to create change.
"We are the change we wish to see," said Wilson
Aside from "I Can't Breathe," another song featuring her titled "Better Than I Imagined" won Best R&B song. This is the second time H.E.R. had won the prestigious Grammy award when she took home the Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Album in 2018.
