The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Philippines has increased by 7,999 within the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 656,056 as of March 20, 2021.
The health department on its advisory has discouraged the public for their non-essential travel and ensure strict compliance of minimum public health protocols.
On Friday, the Department of Health (DOH) reported 7,103 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total active cases to 80,642.
Meanwhile, 562,484 have recovered with 597 new ones with 30 new fatalities the brought the death toll to 12,930.
