Olivia Culpo is talking about her viral facial expression that quickly spread online, moment later the Miss Universe 2020 pageant announced the winner.
Just like in any other big event it is expected that several hilarious memes will emerge, and the former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo is one of the lucky person in the spotlight for this year's pageant memes. Culpo, who co-hosted the prestigious event with actor Mario Lopez, was captured on camera with seemingly confused expression as she announced Peru's Janick Maceta.
On her Instagram stories on Wednesday, Culpo clarified that she was "concentrated so hard on reading when announcing the winner of Miss Universe this weekend," revealing she was so "terrified of reading the wrong country."
"I don't think I have ever concentrated so hard on reading in my life than when announcing the winner of Miss Universe this weekend," she said.
"I was soooo terrified of reading the wrong country apparently I need to work on my reading face and I'm sorry if this was misinterpreted in any type of way. I swear I'm just concentrating on the words.
" Every girl was beautiful and most importantly so sweet and kind," she added.
In her other posts, Culpo made fun of herself by giving her own captions on her meme-worthy moment.
It's not surprising if Culpo will have to do extra careful in reading the Miss universe result, following the controversial mix-up when Steve Harvey wrongly proclaimed Ariandna Gutierrez of Colombia as Miss Universe instead of the Philippines' Pia Wurtzbach.
