A drunk policeman will face murder charges after he fatally shot a 52-year-old woman in Barangay Greater, Fairview , Quezon City on Monday evening, May 31. The incident was caught on video.
Lilibeth Valdez was buying in a store when Master Sergeant Hensie Zinampan was seen approaching Lilibeth Valdez, revealing he was drunk. Then he pulled her hair in a gun point at her neck and a single shot was heard, killing her instantly.
Philippine National Police Chief, Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, apologized to Luceños family and thanked the person who uploaded the video.
"Kung walang video, total denial. Titingnan ka pa ng buong kasinungalingan. Pero nung nakita ang video, hindi na siya puwedeng tumanggi dito," Eleazar said, following the suspect's denial.
The incident comes after Valdez's son figured in a fistfight with the cop. They were both drunk when it happened, and since then Zinampan started to threaten their family.
The suspect is now under the Quezon City Police District and will face a murder and administrative complaints.
