President Rodrigo Duterte wants the "Wowowin" host Willie Revillame to run for Senator in 2022 elections. In his video message, Duterte revealed that Revillame is having second thoughts on running as a senatorial candidate next year.
"Matagal na tayong hindi nagkikita pero palagi kitang naaalala dahil gusto ko sanang maging senador ka," Duterte said.
"Sabi ni Bong medyo nagdadalawang isip ka," Duterte added.
However, the president said Revillame slot in the Senate slate of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Laban ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) is "open until the last minute."
"Kung ayaw mo na talaga eh di puwede na tayong mag-usap ulit," Duterte said.
The president lauded the TV host: "Bilib ako sa appeal mo sa masa. Mabuhay ka," he added.
The president has yet to announce PDP-Laban's senatorial lineup.
