Coco Martin, Julia Montes joins the celebrity squad urging their fans to register to vote

Julia Montes and Coco Martin has joined a number of celebrities urging their followers to register to vote in the May 2022 elections.

It comes after Bea Alonzo, Maris Racal, Barbie Forteza, Erik Santos, Barbie Imperial and many others went out to register or reactivate their voters status.

The Comelec on Wednesday announced that voters registration has been extended after its September 30 deadline. Extension is from October 11 to 31, so Filipinos will still have time to register for the 2022 national and local elections.

Julia wrote to her 3.9-million followers, "Somewhere inside of all of us is the power to change the world - Roald Dahl."

She accompanied the post with a video showing her and Ang Probinsyano co-star have finally registered together.

Recently, Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza shared a photos and a video on Instagram showing her patiently waiting in line before sunrise just to ensure she can get a registration slot.

"Nagsimula pumila ng 4 a.m. at ngayon ay rehistrado na ako!" said Barbie.

Julia, Coco, and Barbie weren't the only celebrities encouraging people to vote.

Celebrity couple Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo took to Instagram on Tuesday, in which they proudly announced that they have done their registration.

"Gusto namin ng pagbabago.. parehistro na po ang mga hindi pa nagreregister.. may isang linggo pa para makapag parehistro. Let’s all UNITE and VOTE!"
