Toni Gonzaga YouTube subscribers continue to grow amid controversy with Bongbong Marcos interview

Toni Gonzaga's interview with former Senator Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. sparked online debate. While there are few others who dropped support to Gonzaga's social media platforms, still there are more subscribing in exchange.

In an interview with Erwin Tulfo's radio program on Friday, Marcos noted that an attempts at cancelling likes to Gonzaga's social media platform seemed to have backfired - earning more than 200,000 likes and her subscribers even grew by a hundred thousand.

As of this writing, the interview in titled 'The Greatest Lesson Bongbong Marcos learned from his father' has earned more than 4.3-million views, with 449K likes and 53K dislikes, while Toni Gonzaga Studio now has 4.2-million subscribers.

Marcos praised Gonzaga's excellent hosting skill, saying she had acted professionally that could rival some journalists. He even lashed out at critics accusing him of an attempt to change history particularly when it comes to his portrayal of his father.

"If you don't like what I'm saying, then don't watch me. I'm not spouting lies. They should not dictate on me what I should say of my experience with my father," he said.

The Ateneo Martial Law Museum meanwhile, urged the actress to reach out to martial law victims and their families following her controversial interview with Marcos.

"Your show has contributed to the Marco's family's attempts to whitewash their human rights violations and its proven historical record," the museum said in an open letter to Gonzaga.

Gonzaga still keep mum on the issue.
