Netizen is raising question what will happen to Karen Davila after Noli De Castro withdraw his senatorial race

Following Noli De Castro's announcement of running the senate seat in the 2022 elections, ABS-CBN was quick to announce that the award-winning broadcast journalist Karen Davila is set to return on flagship newscast. She will be joining Henry Omaga-Diaz and Bernadette Sembrano-Aguinaldo.

But now that De Castro withdraw his 2022 senatorial race less than a week after he filed his certificate of Candidacy, confused netizens are raising question to social media of what will happen to Karen now.

Noli De Castro was quoted on ABS-CBN report that says, "he had a change of heart and and saw that he would better serve the people as a newsman."

"Isinumite ko ang aking kandidatura sa Comelec noong Biyernes. Ngunit nagkaroon ng pagbabago ang aking plano," he said.

“Kasabay ng pagdarasal sa Poong Nazareno, napag-isip-isip kong mas makatutulong ako sa pagbibigay ng boses sa ating mga kababayan sa pamamagitan ng pamamahayag,” he added.

He thanked the Aksyon Demokratiko party and its standard bearer for accepting him as supposed senatorial aspirant.

Meanwhile, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso, the party's presidential aspirant said that he respect De Castro's decision.

"So, what does that mean for Karen Davila and TV Patrol? DZMM? They changed schedules, slots, and hosts to accommodate this man when he left the other week. Now he wants to return?! Wonder what ABS-CBN will do. And what is the real reason for flip-flopping," a netizen asked.

Another one replied: Exactly. Unfair to those na inilagay sa slot nya kasi umalis sya. Wag na muna syang pabalikin. It will leave a bas taste, tbh. And I personally like Karen on TV Patrol. Mas may integridad.

"@iamkarendavila should stay in TV Patrol. She should not be pushed around just to accommodate someone else's whims. That's not how professionalism works," a comment said.
