A child falls out of moving taxi on busy road in Baguio City

 A shocking video captured in a busy street of Baguio, Philippines, when a child suddenly falls off from a moving taxi. The incident captured in a dash cam of Melvin Joe Cadawas who is following the taxi. 




"Before nangyari yon, marami kaming nakasalubong na sasakyan. Nong nasa kurbada na po kami, buti nalang wala na, wala na kaming nakasalubong," said Cadawas.





The taxi suddenly stopped and a woman get out from the taxi for the child. And, thankfully, the child is safe from harm after the incident, according to 24 Oras report. According to the highway police, the one-year-old child is with her mother together in a passenger seat when the door of the taxi suddenly open.




"Yong bata, nabuksan ang pinto. Ang ano dito, kasama ang nanay sa likod," said Police LTC Christian Dela Cruz. He added that the driver might be charged under the R.A. No. 11229.





According to the Republic Act No. 11229 or the Child Safety in Motor Vehicles, children 12 years old and below who are shorter that 4'11 are no longer allowed to sit in the front seat or to be left unattended inside a private vehicle. The law was created and implemented to prevent injuries and deaths for children.
