A Filipina nurse working as a babysitter is making her name in Italy by sharing her incredible voice in the public. With the help of an Italian guitarist Jenika Duran was able to perform on different public places in Italy.
A warm welcome from the Italians had pushed her to give her best performance.
"Hindi ko talaga in-expect na ganito ang magiging pagtanggap ng mga tao sa akin at sa boses ko, at sobrang nagpapasalamat po ako," she told The Filipino Channel (TFC).
Every time she performed in public, it can be seen people scream in awe as they cheers to the Filipina.
Just like many other professional Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Italy, there are lots of them decided to work as domestic helpers, caregivers, babysitters or a performer to earn money for their family.
"Dito po sa Europa, mahirap pong mai-practice ang iyong profession sa atin sa Pilipinas.
"Isang malaking desisyon po ang ginawa ko sa aking buhay na makapunta dito sa Italy, para makasama ko po yung buo kong pamilya," she said.
Jenika is a nurse in profession and she finished her college in the Holy Spirit in Tarlac. She also worked at San Lazaro Hospital in Manila.
Currently she is now living in Alba, Italy with her family.
